Support Group
Recovering from an eating disorder is challenging. Seeking help and support from others can bring you out of isolation to be with others who understand these challenges, and help you to learn new, healthier ways of coping. Our support group is free and run by licensed therapists and/or nutritionists. It is meant to provide education, information, and a non-judgmental safe haven for those struggling. Please note, however, that our support group is NOT meant to take the place of individual or group therapy. We highly encourage all of our support group participants to pursue therapy in addition to participating in our group. To view or download our Group Guidelines, please click here. (click here for a PDF of the guidelines) Support group for adults: 7:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesdays Support groups are held at: THE Center for Disordered Eating's office at 297 Haywood Street in Asheville. T.H.E. Center is located inside the Central United Methodist Church's Haywood Street Campus, at the intersection of Haywood, Clingman and Patton Avenues in downtown Asheville, across from the Hunter Asheville Car Dealership.
